Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she studied the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox's budget was increased with a student stipend and part-time jobs. Lennox was a student in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy in her performance when compared to that of her peers. She began considering other options. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. The group broke up prior to their appearance on I.T.V's talent program New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980 she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop group. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. It came out in 1992. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record came out in November of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. Her first album"Now I Letting You Go... It is the soundtrack to her exhibit of artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
